Job summary

Danone Planning Center in Katowice is seeking a Senior Manager for Material S&OP to lead European material planning. You will connect planning, procurement, suppliers and stakeholders to ensure material availability while balancing service, inventory and cost.

The role requires 5+ years in material planning, S&OP/IBP leadership and strong SAP experience. It offers regional impact and exposure to senior stakeholders within a pan-European supply chain.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Material Planning.
• Strong expertise in MRP and translating finished goods demand into raw and packaging material requirements.
• Proven experience leading S&OP or IBP planning processes.
• Strong understanding of supplier capacity management, constraints and risk assessment.
• Experience with scenario modelling and balancing service, inventory, cost and supply risks.
• Advanced analytical skills, including Excel and KPI reporting.
• Strong knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across functions and organizational boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the European Material S&OP process for Raw & Packaging Materials.
• Consolidate material requirements across categories, countries and manufacturing sites into a single regional view.
• Identify supply risks, assess supplier constraints and develop mitigation scenarios to support business continuity.
• Translate complex material challenges into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Integrate material planning insights into the IBP/S&OP cycle and drive Risks & Opportunities discussions.
• Partner closely with Procurement, suppliers and cross-functional teams to improve planning collaboration and reliability.
• Monitor key planning KPIs, including forecast accuracy, inventory coverage, supplier OTIF and material availability.
• Drive continuous improvement through root-cause analysis, process optimization and planning standardization.
