Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Zohorecruit is seeking a Marketing Automation Specialist, Content & Social Media Executive to lead marketing automation, content and social channels across client accounts. The role focuses on delivering profitable client marketing, managing budgets, scope and deadlines, and driving measurable revenue impact.
The position involves 25 hours per week with a remote, worldwide working arrangement and overlapping UK business hours.
Reports: Marketing Automation Specialist, Content & Social Media Executive
Hours: 25 hours per week
Location: Worldwide
Remote: overlapping UK business hours (9AM start)
Mandatory: Camera's on, Good internet connection
This role carries two equal accountabilities:
1. Grow Local Hosting UK. Own the strategy, spend, team and results.
2. Deliver client marketing profitably. Own scope, quality, deadlines and margin.
Neither subsidises the other. A year of delighted clients alongside a flat LHUK pipeline is a failed year, and so is the reverse.
-- -- -- --
You are accountable for outcomes, not activity. A busy team producing work that doesn't convert is a failure of this role.
This split is contractual, not indicative. It is reviewed quarterly and reported against monthly.

If either side consistently overruns its allocation, that is a resourcing problem to elevate not something to absorb quietly.
-- -- -- --
The rule is decided in advance so it isn't decided by whoever shouts loudest.
1. Contracted client deadlines take precedence over LHUK work in the same week. Clients are paying against a scope.
2. But the LHUK time is repaid, not written off. It is rescheduled within the same month and flagged in the monthly report.
4. Three overruns in a quarter triggers a conversation with the MD about capacity, client scope or pricing. It is not resolved by working more hours.
5. New client work that cannot be delivered inside the 9-hour allocation is not accepted without the MD's sign-off. Saying no, or repricing, is part of this role.
6. LHUK work is never silently dropped. If it slips, it is visible.

1. Local Hosting UK commercial performance
- Own marketing's contribution to revenue: leads, trials, sign-ups, and the cost of acquiring them.
- Set and hold targets for lead volume, cost per acquisition, conversion rate and retention.
- Know the unit economics. Be able to say what a hosting customer costs to acquire, what they're worth, and how long they stay.
- Kill activity that doesn't pay back. Defend the activity that does.
2. Local Hosting UK strategy and planning
- Set the annual marketing plan and quarterly priorities, with the MD's sign-off.
- Decide the channel mix — organic, paid, email, partner, referral — and rebalance it on evidence.
- Own positioning and messaging: who we're for, what we're better at, and why someone leaves their current host for us.
- Monitor the UK hosting market on price, product and promise.
- Own delivery across all client marketing accounts: scope, quality, deadlines and margin.
- Be the senior point of contact for client marketing relationships.
- Scope and price new work, or recommend declining it. - Profitable delivery is the measure, not volume of accounts.
- Track time and cost per account. Know which clients make money and which don't, and say so.
- Catch scope creep before it eats the margin — raise it with the client, don't absorb it.
- Make sure each client's tone of voice and brand guidelines are documented and followed by the team.
- Run a quarterly review with each client account: what was delivered, what it achieved, what's next.
4. The team
- Manage the Marketing Automation Specialist and the Content & Social Media Executive across both LHUK and client work.
- Plan capacity across both tracks. Neither report should be idle or drowning.
- Set clear briefs and deadlines. Weekly 1:1s with each, documented objectives, reviewed quarterly.
- Hold the quality bar — brand, UK English house style, on-brief client delivery.
- Develop both people. Identify skill gaps and close them.
Recommend hires, role changes or exits where the team shape is wrong. Recruit with the MD.
5. Budget
- Propose and manage the LHUK marketing budget.
- Approve spend within the agreed monthly limit; make the case for anything above.
- Report spend against plan monthly, with variance explained.
6. Reporting
- One monthly report to the MD, covering both tracks separately:
- LHUK: performance against target, spend against budget, what worked, what didn't, what changes next month.
- Client: delivery against scope, margin per account, risks and relationship health.
- Time: actual hours split against the ring-fenced allocation.
Quarterly review of strategy against results. No vanity metrics reach and impressions are context, not outcomes.

Channel mix and campaign approach within the agreed plan and budget.
Content and social direction, calendar and priorities.
Day-to-day allocation of your team's time across both tracks.
Spend within the agreed monthly limit.
Tooling changes within budget.
How agreed client work is delivered.
You recommend, the MD decides:
Annual plan and budget.
Pricing and positioning changes, ours and clients'.
Accepting, repricing or declining new client marketing work.
Hiring, role changes and exits.
Spend above the agreed limit.
Anything that commits the business beyond the current quarter.
A target that is going to be missed when you know, not at month end.
A client account running below margin, or a relationship in trouble.
Repeated collisions between the two tracks.
Anything with legal, regulatory or reputational exposure.
7+ years in marketing manager experience, with at least 3 years managing people. Direct line management, not coordinating freelancers.
Agency account management or client services background.
Demonstrable experience running own-brand and client marketing in parallel. This is the hardest part of the role — probe it hard at interview.
Ownership of a number — a lead target, a revenue contribution, a CAC figure — not just campaign delivery.
Client-facing experience at a senior level: scoping, pricing, difficult conversations, managing expectations.
Commercial literacy. Able to read a margin and act on it.
Hands-on across SEO, content, email automation and paid social. You will not have a large team to hide behind.
Fluent in GA4 and Google Search Console. Able to build a reporting view, not just read someone else's.
Experience marketing a technical or subscription product — hosting, SaaS, IT services or similar.
Comfortable with UK English standards and UK market context.
Experience working in a Web hosting, domains or adjacent infrastructure.
Experience building a marketing function from a small base rather than inheriting a mature one.
