Job summary

Luxoft in Kraków is seeking a skilled Software Quality Engineer (Regular) with a strong focus on manual, component-level testing for video collaboration devices running embedded Android. You will validate components, work closely with developers and product owners, and interact with physical devices in lab environments while rotating across projects in a hybrid setup in Kraków.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of manual software testing experience, preferably at component/subsystem level.
• Hands-on testing of embedded systems or hardware-related products.
• Strong Linux/macOS terminal skills (SSH).
• Familiarity with embedded Linux/macOS debugging tools.
• Experience with JIRA for defect tracking and test execution.
• Networking fundamentals (IP addressing, connectivity, basic diagnostics).
• Ability to create clear, structured test documentation.
• Fluent in English and Polish (speaking and writing).
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model with on-site presence in Kraków.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual, component-level test cases.
• Validate software components and subsystems before system integration.
• Perform regression, exploratory, and ad hoc testing.
• Conduct functional testing with emphasis on component behavior.
• Validate hardware-software interactions in real-world conditions.
• Verify fixes and re-test defects.
• Analyze requirements to define test coverage.
• Design, maintain, and execute test scenarios and cases.
• Document tests and reproduce steps with logs and evidence.
• Collaborate with developers, automation engineers and product owners during cycles.
• Work daily with Linux/macOS terminal tools and basic networking tasks.
• Interact with cameras and device test setups in lab environments.
• Contribute component-focused ideas to Python-based automation repositories.
