Job summary

Luxoft Poland in Kraków is seeking a Software Quality Engineer (Regular level) with a strong focus on manual, component-level testing for video collaboration devices with embedded Android. The role requires a hybrid work model with on-site presence in Kraków and is open only to candidates based in Kraków.

You will execute manual test cases, validate software components and subsystems, and perform regression, exploratory, and ad hoc testing.

Qualifications

3–5 years in manual software testing, preferably at component or subsystem level.
Hands-on experience testing embedded systems or hardware-related products.
Strong Linux/macOS terminal usage and SSH skills.
Familiarity with embedded Linux/macOS debugging tools.
Experience with JIRA for defect tracking and test execution.
Understanding of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, connectivity, basic diagnostics).
Ability to create clear, structured test documentation.

Responsibilities

Execute manual, component-level test cases.
Validate individual software components and subsystems before system-level integration.
Perform regression testing, exploratory testing, and ad hoc testing.
Functional testing with a strong focus on component behavior.
Validate hardware–software interactions under real-world conditions.
Verify fixes and re-test defects.
Collaborate with developers, automation engineers, and product owners during development cycles.
Identify component test cases suitable for automation based on manual testing results.
