Job summary

Qarbon IT in Starachowice, Poland, is seeking a MAN Software Diagnostics Specialist – Flying Doctor to join our automotive project. The role involves diagnosing and repairing in-vehicle software at customer sites across the EU, with extensive travel.

You will read electrical schematics, perform software reconfigurations, and coordinate with the Munich team for patches. A valid category B driving license and at least B2 English are required; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Has documented experience working on MAN projects – mandatory requirement.
• Knowledge of MAN vehicle architecture.
• Can read electrical schematics and has experience with vehicle software flashing.
• Willing and able to travel frequently abroad, across the EU.
• Valid Category B driving license.
• Minimum B2 level of English.
• Independent, flexible, and comfortable in a dynamic field environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve MAN vehicle software issues on-site at customer locations.
• Perform software reconfigurations and local software repairs.
• Analyze vehicle logs to identify software-related issues.
• Escalate critical issues to the technical team and support patches.
• Work directly in the field to ensure efficient issue resolution.

How do we work?

Based in Starachowice, Poland, with a mobile field-based role.
Approximately 80% travel within the EU, 15% outside the EU, and 5% in Poland.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Diagnosing and resolving software issues in MAN vehicles on-site, at customer locations and in the field.
• Performing software reconfigurations and local software repairs.
• Analyzing vehicle logs to identify and troubleshoot software-related issues.
• Escalating critical issues to the technical team in Munich and supporting the preparation of software patches.
• Working directly in the field to ensure efficient resolution of vehicle software issues.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has documented experience working on MAN projects – mandatory requirement.
• Has knowledge of MAN vehicle architecture.
• Can read electrical schematics and has experience with vehicle software flashing.
• Is willing and able to travel frequently abroad, working in a continuous travel-based role, primarily across the EU.
• Has a valid Category B driving license.
• Has a minimum B2 level of English.
• Is independent, flexible, and comfortable working in a dynamic field environment.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of German or another European language.
• Previous experience working in a field service / “Flying Doctor”model.
• Experience with on-site diagnostics and troubleshooting of automotive software.
