Job summary

Atos poszukuje doświadczonego specjalisty ds. batch scheduling na platformie mainframe w Bydgoszczy. Praca obejmuje administrację tivoli OPC i utrzymanie stabilności środowiska produkcyjnego.

Qualifications

• Stopień licencjata lub równoważne doświadczenie.
• 3–8+ lat doświadczenia w mainframe batch scheduling lub kontroli produkcji.

Responsibilities

• Administrowanie i utrzymywanie obiektów OPC (strumienie zadań, kalendarze, cykle uruchamiania, zależności).
• Planowanie, harmonogramowanie i kontrola dziennych obciążeń produkcyjnych; koordynacja nowych wdrożeń partii.
• Monitorowanie wykonania batcha, analizy błędów/abendów; ręczne ponowne uruchomienia i odzyskiwanie.
• Projektowanie i udoskonalanie zautomatyzowanych przepływów pracy, wyzwalaczy i alertów w celu zmniejszenia ręcznego nakładu.
• Wprowadzanie zmian zgodnie z ITIL; dokumentacja procedur i zarządzanie incydentami/zmianami przez ServiceNow.

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Batch Scheduling Specialist to administer Tivoli Workload Scheduler (OPC) environments on z/OS. Responsible for reliable batch processing, incident resolution, automation, and supporting production‑critical workloads in an ITIL‑driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain OPC scheduler objects (job streams, calendars, run cycles, dependencies).
• Plan, schedule and control daily production workloads; coordinate new batch deployments.
• Monitor batch execution, investigate and resolve failures/abends; perform manual restarts and recovery.
• Design and improve automated workflows, event/dataset triggers and alerting to reduce manual effort.
• Implement changes per ITIL; document procedures and manage incidents/changes via ServiceNow.

Required Skills & Tools

• IBM TWS = IBM OPC (z Tivoli Workload Scheduler)
• z/OS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF
• Batch operations, job recovery/restart procedures
• ITIL-based incident/problem/change management

Preferred

• CA7 familiarity a plus
• REXX, RACF, DB2, IMS, FTP/file‑transfer knowledge
• ServiceNow, eZ Scheduler, EPV reporting, scripting/automation tools

Experience & Education

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 3–8+ years in mainframe batch scheduling or production control

Soft Skills

• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
• Customer‑focused, able to work in global teams and shift/on‑call rotations
• Continuous improvement and mentoring mindset

KPIs

• Batch success rate, SLA compliance, incident resolution time, scheduler availability
