Job summary

Atos SE seeks an experienced Mainframe Batch Scheduling Specialist to administer Tivoli Workload Scheduler (OPC) environments on z/OS. You will be responsible for reliable batch processing, incident resolution, automation, and supporting production-critical workloads in an ITIL-driven environment.

Key responsibilities include administering OPC scheduler objects, planning and controlling daily production workloads, monitoring batch execution, and implementing ITIL changes with ServiceNow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3–8+ years in mainframe batch scheduling or production control.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain OPC scheduler objects (job streams, calendars, run cycles, dependencies).
• Plan, schedule and control daily production workloads; coordinate new batch deployments.
• Monitor batch execution, investigate and resolve failures/abends; perform manual restarts and recovery.
• Design and improve automated workflows, event/dataset triggers and alerting to reduce manual effort.
• Implement changes per ITIL; document procedures and manage incidents/changes via ServiceNow.

Experience & Education

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 3–8+ years in mainframe batch scheduling or production control

Soft Skills

• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
• Customer-focused, able to work in global teams and shift/on-call rotations
• Continuous improvement and mentoring mindset

KPIs

• Batch success rate, SLA compliance, incident resolution time, scheduler availability
