Job summary

Sancovia Corporate Finance, an owner-managed European M&A boutique, is seeking a motivated analyst to join its Warsaw-based team. You will identify target investment opportunities, perform financial modelling, and contribute to sell- and buy-side materials as part of a dynamic, international group.

You will work closely with senior colleagues on marketing, origination, and valuation, supported by a hands-on, fast-growing environment and extensive deal flow.

Qualifications

  • University degree in economics, finance, accounting, business or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of finance and accounting.
  • Excellent Polish and English language skills (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

  • Actively identifying and assessing potential target investment companies.
  • Conduct financial modelling, strategic and competitor analysis.
  • Prepare presentations, market reports, information memorandums and transaction documents.
  • Collaborate with senior team in marketing and origination activities.
  • Assist in preparing historical and projected financial statements.
  • Analyze financial implications of mergers and acquisitions.
  • Conduct valuation analysis.

Job description

Sancovia Corporate Finance is an owner-managed, exclusive, independent and fast-growing dedicated European M&A boutique. Sancovia specialise in serving small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs & Mid-Market).

Having successfully completed more than 250 M&A transactions in the past 14 years across its 11 offices, Sancovia offer personalised and hands-on support to investors and entrepreneurs.

Tasks
  • Actively identifying and assessing potential target investment companies
  • Conduct thorough research on selected target companies, including financial (modelling), strategic, and competitor analysis
  • Analysis, preparation and drafting presentations of company profiles, market and sector reports, information memorandums and transaction documentation (for sell- and buy-side purposes)
  • Collaborate with senior team members in marketing and origination activities
  • Assist in preparing historical and projected financial statements
  • Analysis of financial implications of mergers and acquisitions
  • Conduct valuation analysis
Requirements
  • An effective team player and highly motivated self-starter with strong communication skills, tenacity and market research skills
  • Excellent Polish & English language skills (written & spoken)
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentational, adaptability and time management skills
  • Strong academics, with a completed university degree in fields such as Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business or a science study with financial affinity
  • Previous experience with exposure to transactions from within Corporate Finance, Transaction Services, Consulting or Private Equity. Operational/in-house experience will also be considered (minimum 1 year experience)
  • Strong knowledge of finance and accounting
  • Highly proficient Excel and PowerPoint skills
