Jingdong International Middle East FZE seeks a seasoned Safety Manager to develop and maintain a comprehensive safety management system, aligning with local laws and company policies, and to promote safe operations across the business.

You will lead loss prevention efforts, investigate incidents, manage on-site safety equipment and surveillance, coordinate with authorities, and oversee the safety of the self-operated transport fleet and last-mile delivery safety to protect people and assets.

  • Maintain relations with fire departments and police; handle emergencies.
  • Assess operational risks and devise response strategies to protect people and assets.
  • Safety management of the self-operated transport fleet and drivers; implement fleet safety management.
  • Manage last-mile delivery safety to decrease accidents and merchandise loss.

Job Description

  1. Develop and update a comprehensive safety management system in accordance with local laws, regulations, and company policies; promote the implementation of safety procedures in operations and ensure control measures are enforced. Formulate emergency response plans and measures for various operational incidents, establish emergency response teams and safety committees, and ensure safe business operations.

  2. Based on business development needs, build and improve the loss-prevention management system; use data management, investigations and audits, process improvements, and security-company management to prevent company asset losses.

  3. Investigate all types of abnormal incidents, produce investigation reports, define corrective actions for identified risks and vulnerabilities, and verify the results of these corrective measures.

  4. Perform regular maintenance and servicing of all on-site safety equipment and surveillance systems.

  5. Collect and organize national/state laws and regulations on safety and loss prevention, and carry out corresponding work in compliance with these statutory requirements.

  6. Maintain regular contact with fire departments and police agencies, keep close cooperative relationships, and possess the ability to handle emergency incidents.

  7. Assess operational risks, devise effective response strategies, protect company personnel and tangible and intangible assets, and provide comprehensive support for sustainable business development.

  8. Be responsible for the safety management of the self-operated transport fleet and drivers; establish and implement a management system for the self-operated transport fleet to reduce the incidence of transport accidents.

  9. Manage last-mile delivery safety to decrease accident rates and merchandise loss during final delivery.

Requirements

  1. Veterans given priority. Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills in Chinese or English; possess keen judgment and decisive decision-making ability.

  2. Work experience requirements: background in safety management, loss prevention, risk management, inspection, or related fields.

  3. Work experience requirements: minimum five years of work experience in chain retail or e-commerce industries, including at least three years of team-management experience.

  4. Must be honest and upright, enthusiastic about work, able to work under high pressure; familiar with local basic laws, regulations, and criminal-law knowledge; understand online business process operations; possess investigation and interview skills; capable of communicating and coordinating with government agencies to handle emergency incidents.
