Job summary

HeadHR is seeking an experienced Linux-focused infrastructure engineer to join the ASTRO Virtual Platform Team in Kraków. You will help build and automate Linux-based virtualized platforms at scale, focusing on infrastructure as code and automation rather than routine IT tasks.

You will develop automated installers, upgrades and configurations for Linux, implement high-performance KVM environments, and run automated tests within an Agile, international team.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years hands-on experience with Linux OS and virtualization technologies.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python or Ansible and understanding of automation concepts.
• Solid knowledge of systemd services, logging configuration and access controls.
• Good communication in English and analytical mindset.

Role context:

• Join the ASTRO Virtual Platform Team and help build and automate Linux-based virtualized platforms supporting Motorola Solutions mission-critical technology products at scale.
• Focus on Infrastructure as Code and automation rather than day-to-day IT support, manual configuration or repetitive patching.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain software solutions for automated Linux installation, upgrades and configuration.
• Implement features and low-level designs for high-performance, reliable KVM environments.
• Design and execute automated functional and performance tests.
• Collaborate in an Agile, international team to make infrastructure deployment secure, robust and effortless.

Kogo poszukujemy?

Basic requirements:

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Linux operating systems, ideally Red Hat, and virtualization technologies.
• Strong scripting skills with Bash, Python or Ansible and an understanding of core automation and programming concepts.
• Solid knowledge of systemd services, logging configuration and access controls.
• Strong analytical mindset, technical curiosity and effective communication in English.

Bonus points:

• Understanding of TCP/IP networking and TLS/PKI concepts.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines and Agile processes.
• Familiarity with PowerShell or willingness to learn it.
• RHCSA, RHCE or CCNA certification.
