Job summary

A game development studio in Kraków is seeking an experienced Lighting Artist to enhance visual storytelling in their projects. You will work closely with the Creative Director to shape the game's lighting and visual style, utilizing Unreal Engine among other tools. The ideal candidate has over 5 years in game development or film/VFX industries, alongside strong communication skills and an artistic approach. Qualifications

Lighting Artist

Within this role you will be:
  • Working closely with the Creative Director, and other artists to shape and maintain the game's visual style and lighting quality.
  • Creating dramatic and compelling lighting that supports photorealistic rendering, enhances environmental storytelling, and establishes depth and layering in scenes.
  • Leveraging game engine tools (e.g., Unreal Engine) to achieve high‑quality lighting while respecting artistic and technical constraints.
  • Optimizing lighting to balance visual quality and performance.
Feel free to apply if you have:
  • 5+ years of experience working in a similar position in game development and/or film/VFX production, with a strong understanding of AAA production processes and constraints.
  • Good knowledge of at least one game development engine (preferably Unreal Engine).
  • Excellent knowledge of the game production pipeline.
  • Excellent knowledge of composition, framing, colour and light.
  • High level of creativity.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to foster a positive and inclusive team environment.
