Job summary

Pepco Poland is seeking a senior Lease Management Lead in Poznań to own the end-to-end lease lifecycle, ensure IFRS 16 compliance, and drive data quality across systems. You will coordinate with Property, Accounting, FP&A and Legal to deliver accurate reporting and robust controls.

The role requires 5+ years in lease management, English proficiency, and a proven ability to centralize processes, lead teams, and collaborate with IT for system integration.

Qualifications

• Min. 5 years of experience in lease management, financial reporting, or related fields.
• Expertise in preparing and reviewing financial reports, journal entries, and compliance with IFRS 16.
• Proven experience in managing teams and driving high performance.
• Demonstrated experience centralizing and standardizing lease management processes.
• Fluency in English (min B2) written and verbal.
• Strong knowledge of lease accounting standards, forecasting and budgeting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the lease lifecycle, including uploading contracts, amendments, and terminations into the lease management system.
• Oversee monthly IFRS 16 journal entries and related reports.
• Ensure accurate preparation and review of disclosures, in compliance with IFRS 16 and IAS 17.
• Collaborate with Property, Accounting, Reporting, FP&A, Commercial Finance and Legal teams.
• Support forecasting and budgeting with detailed lease data, analytics and insights.
• Participate in audits and resolve lease-related queries.
• Oversee system implementation, integration and upgrades with IT and vendors.
• Act as system owner and drive continuous improvement; provide training and documentation.
• Identify opportunities to enhance lease management processes.
• Lead rollout of centralized processes across Pepco countries.
• Manage and develop a high‑performing lease management team.
• Maintain data governance with regular audits and reconciliations.

Job description

• Manage the lease lifecycle, including uploading contracts, amendments, and terminations into the lease management system, reviewing and validating lease data for completeness and accuracy, reconciling data between systems and clarifying discrepancies.
• Oversee the preparation of monthly journal entries for IFRS 16.
• Ensure accurate preparation and review of financial reports and required disclosures, in compliance with IFRS 16 and IAS 17, including lease schedules, ROU asset calculations, and lease liability adjustment.
• Collaborate with Property, Accounting, Reporting, FP&A, Commercial Finance and Legal teams, to address lease-related reporting requirements and resolve discrepancies. Additionally, to support the forecasting and budgeting process by providing detailed lease-related data, analytics, and insights.
• Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with lease accounting standards and clarifying all audit queries related to lease management.
• Oversee the successful implementation of the system and its integration with another system.
• Act as the system owner, responsible for continuous improvement of the tool, managing system upgrades and resolving technical issues in collaboration with IT and vendors, providing training, documentation, and ongoing support.
• Identify opportunities to enhance lease management processes.
• Lead the rollout of centralized lease management processes, defining standard operating procedures and ensuring their adoption across all Pepco countries.
• Manage, and develop a high-performing lease management team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and target operating model.
• Maintain strong data governance by conducting regular audits, reconciliations, and accuracy checks on lease data.

Skills and experience we are looking for:

• Min. 5 years of experience in lease management, financial reporting, or related fields.
• Expertise in preparing and reviewing financial reports, journal entries, and compliance with IFRS 16.
• Proven experience in managing teams and driving high performance.
• Demonstrated experience centralizing and standardizing lease management processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, ACCA, or similar accounting certification preferred.
• Fluency in English is essential (min. B2 - written and verbal).
• In-depth knowledge of lease accounting standards, financial reporting, and understanding of forecasting/budgeting processes.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to challenge existing processes and recommend improvements.
• Strong communication skills and capacity to build trusted and credible relationships with multiple stakeholders.
• Willingness to work under a replacement contract until approximately January 2028.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model, with a minimum of 2 days per week spent on-site at the Poznań office.
