Job summary
GATX Rail Europe is seeking a Team Lead for GCU Claim Handling & Strategic Procurement in Warsaw. You will lead and further develop the Strategic Procurement function and the GCU claim handling team, while coordinating with Technical Operations, Market Operations, Finance & Controlling, and Legal to ensure robust supplier management and risk mitigation.
The role requires solid leadership experience, strong negotiation and contract drafting skills, and proficiency in Polish and English.
Qualifications
- Several years of strategic procurement experience.
- Experience with GCU knowledge is a plus.
- Proven leadership and people-management experience.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Strategic Procurement function.
- Negotiate and conclude framework agreements with RUs, logistics providers, suppliers, and workshops.
- Provide functional and disciplinary leadership of the European GCU Claim Handling Team.
- Own claim management in line with the GCU, including escalation handling.
- Develop and implement sustainable procurement strategies.
- Monitor KPIs, manage suppliers, and assess risks.
- Collaborate with Technical Operations, Market Operations, Finance & Controlling, and Legal.
