Job summary

Plentific is seeking a Software Architect to steer the technical direction of our platform. You will bridge product vision and engineering, leading a team while remaining hands-on with code.

You will collaborate with Product Managers to translate business requirements into robust technical strategies, guide engineers toward delivery, and uphold engineering excellence across a scalable Django-based stack deployed on Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with Python and Django.
• Hands-on Django-based microservices at scale, running in production on Kubernetes.
• Demonstrable experience with AI tools to assist software development and architectural writing.
• Experience as Tech Lead or Software Architect, owning technical direction.
• Strong track record producing technical analyses with product managers.
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems design, event-driven architectures, and async processing.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and strategy, translating product requirements into actionable engineering plans (AI-assisted).
• Define and own the technical roadmap for your team, ensuring scalability.
• Mentor engineers through delivery lifecycle and ensure high-quality output.
• Act as the primary technical contact for squad and stakeholders.
• Design scalable microservices using Django/Python on Kubernetes.
• Lead API, data pipelines, and distributed systems design with performance and reliability focus.
• Define and enforce best practices in PostgreSQL schema design, queries, and data modeling.
