Backbase Inc. in Krakow seeks a Senior Backend Engineer to strengthen our team within the Business Banking value stream. You will own features for the digital banking platform, focusing on entitlements, permissions, and secure, scalable services.

You’ll collaborate with architects, QA, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software. The role embraces a hybrid work model and offers growth within a global fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Solid background in software development including design.
• Clear communication with stakeholders and team members.
• Experience in banking/Fintech is a plus.
• Excellent English communication, spoken and written.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Maven, CI/CD.
• Experience with relational databases and Spring JPA / Hibernate.
• Experience with microservices, Cloud and Tomcat.
• Understanding of security, performance and scalability concepts.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to new and existing functionalities and technical improvements.
• Own the end-to-end software lifecycle for the digital banking product suite.
• Collaborate with architects, QA engineers and other team members.
• Work within a Spotify-inspired organization with value streams and tribes.
