Job summary

ZoomInfo is seeking a Principal Data Scientist to lead our product analytics function and own measurement systems across the product portfolio. You'll blend hands-on analytical depth with strategic scope to design measurement frameworks and shape product decisions through rigorous data work.

You will partner with Product, Engineering and GTM leaders, translate complex findings into actionable recommendations, and drive activation, retention, and monetization through data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Product Analytics, Growth Analytics, Data Science, or related analytical fields.
• Expert-level SQL and Python skills; you write clean, efficient code and debug data issues independently.
• Strong statistical foundation; understanding of experimental design and significance testing.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale analytical initiatives with measurable business impact.

Responsibilities

• Design and own measurement frameworks connecting customer behavior to business outcomes across activation, adoption, monetization, retention, expansion, and churn.
• Establish source-of-truth metrics and build scalable reporting infrastructure to minimize manual overhead.
• Conduct rigorous root-cause analyses on significant shifts in product performance and identify friction points in the customer journey.
• Build customer segmentation frameworks to reveal behavioural differences and product experiences linked to customer success.
• Quantify opportunity size, support experimentation with rigorous test design, and advise leadership on adoption trends and growth opportunities.
• Redesign analytics workflows to leverage AI tools for faster investigations and proactive anomaly detection.
• Develop scalable self-service analytics while maintaining data governance and trust across teams.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, GTM, and executives as a trusted data advisor to elevate analytical standards.
