Job summary

GE Vernova in Warsaw, Poland is seeking an electrical/instrumentation design engineer to own and execute instrumentation design tasks for BWRX-300 projects, collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams.

You will develop detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs; apply IEC, ISA, and other standards; and contribute to standardization and continuous improvement. This role requires hands-on experience with P&ID, control systems, and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, automation engineering, or related field.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, P&IDs, and process instrumentation.
• Experience with instrumentation rack assembly and configuration.
• Familiarity with automation technologies and control systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Own & execute tasks from PLM, Jira, Smartsheet, ELM, and SPI related to BWRX-300 instrumentation design.
• Develop innovative engineering solutions for BWRX-300 process instrumentation per customer requirements and GE Vernova guidelines.
• Create detailed instrumentation schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs for upgrades or modifications.
• Develop working knowledge of applicable national and international codes and standards.
• Review instrument datasheets, P&ID diagrams, and instrumentation racks lists to improve system performance.
• Develop or support standardization and cost-out efforts.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, procedures, and deliverables.
• Interact with customers, suppliers, and GE Vernova functions and project management.
