Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer - Power Electronics to develop high-temperature downhole electronics, motor drives and switching power supplies. You will own the full design lifecycle from requirements to validation in a multi-disciplinary team.

Ideal candidates hold a university degree in Electrical Engineering, have hands-on experience in power electronics, GaN/SiC technologies, and Matlab/Simulink simulations, with strong English communication for an international

Qualifications

Above-average university degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a focus on power electronics.
Experience in circuit- and system-design of power electronics, including topologies for electrical machines.
Knowledge of GaN/SiC devices and measurement/control engineering.
Experience with modern electronic laboratory equipment and documentation.

Responsibilities

Circuit design of power electronic modules, including mixed-signal circuitry.
Develop power electronics modules, including motor drives and switching power supplies.
Perform simulations with Matlab/Simulink to validate control algorithms.
Support PCB layout and test/characterization of circuits at high temperature.
Develop test systems including hardware and software; document results for reviews.
