Job summary

Larian Studios is seeking a Lead Graphics Programmer to direct our Graphics team on next‑gen games. This on‑site leadership role combines mentoring, technical leadership, and hands‑on coding to deliver high‑quality visuals across multiple platforms.

You will guide code reviews, collaborate with other Leads, and help extend our proprietary engine while maintaining performance targets and asset integrity.

Qualifications

• Lead or management experience.
• Extensive experience programming for games.
• Excellent C++ skills.
• Strong mentoring ability.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills.
• Experience with graphics APIs DirectX 12 and Vulkan.
• Experience with a wide range of CPU and GPU profiling tools.
• Multithreading should be second nature.
• This is a full-time, on-site role, requiring your presence in the office to support collaboration and creativity.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and coach our Graphics team
• Assist with recruiting of Graphics Programmers
• Manage code reviews and code features documentation
• Work in tandem with Larian Studios other programming Leads
• Assist in maintaining, porting and extending our proprietary engine on multiple platforms
• Debug and optimize code to hit quality and performance targets
• Show a strong passion for low level coding and a big interest in performance analysis
• Complete all tasks in a timely manner and to a consistent high quality standard
• Develop well designed software within project schedule to team standards
• Show strong passion for making the highest quality state of the art games
• Safeguard company assets including source code, art work, tools, technical know-how
