Job summary

Mighty Koi in Warsaw is seeking a Lead/Senior Gameplay Programmer to drive core gameplay systems and architecture. You will collaborate with designers, artists, and fellow programmers to implement gameplay features, while exploring new techniques for efficient development.

The role emphasizes leadership in code architecture, mentoring juniors, and maintaining comprehensive design documentation. Strong C++ and UE5, plus shipped titles, are required, with English at B2/C1 level.

Qualifications

• Advanced C++ programming skills.
• Proficiency with Unreal Engine 5 (Blueprints).
• Advanced knowledge of 3C, including physics and animations.
• AI implementation experience.
• 4+ years in systemic gameplay programming with at least one shipped title (Lead: 6+ years with AA+/AAA title).
• Strong communication and teamwork. English proficiency (B2/C1).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers, artists, and programmers to implement gameplay features.
• Implement gameplay functionalities in line with Game Design Documents; iterative development.
• Research and pursue technical evolution for optimal solutions.
• Contribute to game design and propose practical implementations.
• Maintain an AI framework for challenging problems and set design goals.
• Lead responsibilities: plan code architecture and distribute work within the team.
• Mentor other programmers and maintain clear design documentation.
