Job summary

Box is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help lead the design and implementation of new platform components in a collaborative, AI-forward environment. You will partner with architects and cross-functional teams to build scalable services with strong reliability, observability, and security foundations.

You will mentor engineers, shape roadmaps, and promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement while delivering high-quality software for millions of users across Box’s ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript with React and HTML/CSS.
• Frontend focus with strong UI/UX and accessibility basics.
• Backend coding with Node.js is required and advantageous.
• Experience designing APIs and services and system design.
• Ability to design, build, and deploy high-quality software.
• Led teams, guided milestones, and mentored engineers.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
