Job summary

BOX, Inc. is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help advance our Metadata Platform in a hybrid Poland-based role. You will lead design and implementation of core components, collaborate with architects, and build scalable services focused on reliability and observability.

The position offers growth in a collaborative, AI-driven environment. You should bring 3+ years of software experience, strong JS/TS with React or Vue, Node.js, and solid HTML/CSS skills, plus mentoring ability and English

Qualifications

3+ years of professional software development experience.
Fluent in JavaScript/TypeScript with React or Vue.
Strong HTML/CSS with responsive UI, accessibility, performance, security.
Some backend with Node.js is required.
Good understanding of scalability and observability practices.
Ability to design, build, and deploy high-quality software.
Experience mentoring engineers.
Proficient in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

Lead design and implementation of new platform components from the ground up.
Collaborate with partner teams and domain architects on system design and services integration.
Design and implement scalable services with reliability, observability and efficiency in mind.
Work with Kubernetes, Docker, BigTable, Elasticsearch, Spark and Istio.
Define vision and assemble feature roadmaps.
Mentor engineers and contribute to team growth.
Strengthen engineering processes and culture with learning and blameless retrospection.
