Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to design, coordinate, and execute large-scale electrical projects in petrochemical and refining sectors. You will develop documentation, perform electrical calculations, and coordinate with clients and vendors across domestic and international markets.

The role requires leadership, strong technical expertise in AutoCAD, DIALux, and ETAP, and the ability to manage activities from proposal through detailed design and execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in an engineering or EPC environment.
• Experience in industrial, petrochemical, refinery, power generation, or energy-related projects.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for petrochemical, refinery, and industrial facilities.
• Develop and maintain electrical engineering documentation including single line diagrams and protection/control schematics.
• Perform electrical calculations (load flow, short circuit, cable sizing, lighting design).
• Prepare technical specifications, MTOs and inquiry packages for electrical equipment.
• Coordinate interfaces with clients, vendors, suppliers, manufacturers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Review vendor and project documentation for compliance with standards and regulations.
• Participate in FATs for electrical equipment and support procurement and subcontracting.
• Provide on-site technical support during construction and supervise electrical installations.

Join a global engineering team delivering complex industrial projects for the petrochemical and refining sectors. We are looking for an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer who will play a key role in the design, coordination, and execution of large-scale projects across domestic and international markets.

Key Responsibilities

Design electrical systems for petrochemical, refinery, and industrial facilities.

Develop and maintain electrical engineering documentation, including:

• Single Line Diagrams
• Protection and Control Schematics
• Terminal Connection Diagrams
• Substation Layouts
• Cable Routing, Lighting, and Grounding Layouts

Perform electrical calculations, including:

• Load Flow and Power Balance Studies
• Short Circuit Calculations
• Cable Sizing Calculations
• Lighting Design and Illumination Calculations
• Grounding and Lightning Protection Studies

Prepare technical specifications, material take-offs (MTOs), and inquiry packages for electrical equipment.

Coordinate technical interfaces with clients, vendors, suppliers, manufacturers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Review and verify project and vendor documentation to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, industry standards, and applicable regulations.

Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for electrical equipment.

Support procurement and subcontracting activities, including preparation of Bills of Quantities.

Provide technical support during construction and supervise electrical installation activities when required.

Analyze technical contract requirements and develop project-specific electrical engineering guidelines and execution plans.

Collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager regarding project schedules, budgets, resource planning, priorities, and technical solutions.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer within an engineering or EPC environment.

Proven experience in industrial, petrochemical, refinery, power generation, or energy-related projects.

Ability to independently manage electrical engineering activities from proposal and concept stages through detailed design and project execution.

Strong knowledge of:

AutoCAD

DIALux

Microsoft Office Suite

Experience with ETAP or other power system analysis software is considered an advantage.

Strong coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

High level of professionalism, accountability, and problem-solving capability.

Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
