Job summary

Sportradar is seeking a Manager, DevSecOps & Application Security to lead a team of security engineers focused on secure software delivery, cloud and Kubernetes security, vulnerability management, and security tooling. You will partner with Engineering, Platform Engineering and Product leadership to shape strategy, priorities and a roadmap for secure software development across Sportradar.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor DevSecOps, Application Security, and Security Engineering teams.
• Define vision, strategy and roadmap for DevSecOps and application security.
• Set measurable objectives, KPIs and maturity goals aligned to business needs.
• Foster collaboration, ownership, and engineering excellence across teams.
• Manage team planning, budgeting, hiring and performance reviews.
• Drive SSDLC adoption across engineering groups.
• Establish scalable security reviews, threat modeling and secure design.
• Integrate security requirements into software delivery processes.
• Champion secure-by-design throughout the product lifecycle.
• Integrate security controls and automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Advance security automation to improve developer experience.
• Set standards for SAST, DAST, SCA, IaC scanning and software supply chain.
• Ensure tooling is integrated into engineering workflows.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering to strengthen cloud & Kubernetes security.
• Drive cloud security posture management and continuous monitoring.
• Establish baselines and guardrails for cloud-native environments.
• Support AI-enabled development environments securely.
• Own vulnerability management strategy and governance.
• Create prioritization based on exploitability and risk.
• Define remediation SLAs, metrics and reporting.
• Work with engineering to improve remediation effectiveness.
• Advise engineering and technology leaders on security strategy.
• Communicate risk and progress to senior leadership.
