GEP seeks a senior DevOps engineer to influence a business-critical platform. You will join during a growth phase, driving CI/CD improvements, automating across Node.js and Java microservices, and migrating stateful workloads from VMs to Kubernetes.

You will guide and coach other engineers, work closely with the platform architect, and focus on security, reliability, and cost efficiency in a dynamic production environment. English required.

Qualificações

• Strong hands-on experience with Linux administration, automation, and troubleshooting in production environments.
• Strong experience with Ansible, Terraform, and infrastructure as code.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, including cloud infrastructure and networking.
• Strong experience with scripting and automation using Bash, Python, and Groovy.
• Solid experience with Kubernetes, containers, Helm, and GitOps‑style deployment workflows.
• Practical ownership of end‑to‑end CI/CD processes, including Git, Jenkins, container builds, artifact delivery, Argo CD, and multi‑environment Kubernetes deployments.
• Strong experience with observability and monitoring stacks, especially Prometheus‑based monitoring and alerting.
• Experience supporting developers and understanding software delivery processes for Node.js and Java‑based services.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting complex production platforms with multiple microservices and integrations.
• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Kafka, and RabbitMQ in operational or platform engineering contexts.
• Ability to balance reliability, performance, security, maintainability, and cost efficiency in technical decisions.
• Experience working with Jira and collaboration channels to support R&D teams and service desk operations.
• Strong troubleshooting mindset, ownership, and ability to work independently in a dynamic production environment.

Responsabilidades

• Shape and improve the end‑to‑end CI/CD process for multiple Node.js and Java microservices, from source control and build pipelines to container images, Helm charts, Argo CD deployments, and Kubernetes environments across development, staging, and production.
• Help prepare the platform for higher transaction volumes by improving scalability, reliability, and performance of core workloads and platform services.
• Contribute to platform modernization initiatives, including migration of stateful workloads from virtual machines to Kubernetes and migration of the WebMethods Java platform to Kubernetes.
• Drive practical improvements in security, maintainability, and cost efficiency across infrastructure and application delivery processes.
• Work closely with developers, R&D teams, and the platform architect to troubleshoot issues, improve delivery processes and guide less senior team members.
• Support daily operational responsibilities, including monitoring, incident handling, and technical support through collaboration channels and Jira with R&D and service desk teams.
