Job summary

Point Wild is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to architect, automate, and lead our cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud. You will own the reliability, scalability, and security of production environments and drive zero-downtime deployments.

You will codify infrastructure, automate release management, and enforce security/compliance standards while operating in a fast, high-trust team on GCP and GKE.

Qualifications

• Senior/Lead level experience operating production workloads on GCP and GKE.
• Expert-level Terraform skills with extensive experience running GitOps workflows at scale (Atlantis).
• Strong track record designing, building, and maintaining multi-stage automated deployment pipelines.
• High proficiency with Istio (VirtualServices, mTLS, sidecar injection) and API Gateways (Kong).
• Experience enforcing enterprise-grade security and secret management (Auth0, Dex, ESO, SOPS, VPC-SC, IAM).
• Experience with Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Elasticsearch or ClickHouse.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and manage highly available cloud infrastructure on GCP/GKE.
• Maintain IaC with Terraform and GitOps workflows using Atlantis.
• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD.
• Manage networking perimeters, service mesh and API gateways for secure traffic.
• Implement telemetry, logging, and alerting for high availability.
• Enforce security, compliance, and on-call rotation.
