Job summary

11 bit studios S.A. is seeking an Expert Gameplay Programmer for an unannounced project in development. The role is based in Warsaw with a hybrid office model.

You will prototype, develop and maintain gameplay features, work with designers to shape gameplay, evaluate new technologies and ensure robust, high-quality code across gameplay systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in game programming
• C++ expert
• Unreal Engine: 2+ years
• Multiplayer/Co-op experience preferred
• Strong gameplay systems understanding
• Prototype to implementation experience
• Good communication with cross-disciplinary teams
• Keep up with current technology trends

Responsibilities

• Plan, prototype, develop and maintain gameplay features
• Collaborate with designers on feature design
• Evaluate new technologies for gameplay code
• Debug and optimize gameplay systems
• Assess technical risks and requirements for gameplay solutions
• Enforce good programming practices within the team
• Share knowledge within the programming group

Job description

We’re looking for an Expert Gameplay Programmer to join one of our unannounced projects currently in development at 11 bit studios.

This position requires working in a hybrid model in our Warsaw office.

What will you be doing on a day-to-day basis?

• Planning, prototyping, developing and maintaining gameplay features,
• Participating in the gameplay feature design process and working closely with designers,
• Evaluating new technologies and identifying opportunities to apply them to gameplay code,
• Debugging and optimizing gameplay code,
• Analyzing technical risks and requirements for gameplay solutions,
• Enforcing good programming practices within the programming team,
• Sharing knowledge and experience within the programming team.

What will help you succeed in this role?

• At least 5 years of professional experience in a programming position in the game development industry,
• At least 2 years of professional experience with Unreal Engine,
• Preferably, professional experience working on multiplayer and/or co-op games,
• Expert practical knowledge of C++,
• Strong understanding of gameplay systems and solutions used in modern video games,
• Experience taking gameplay features from prototype through implementation and iteration,
• Good communication skills and ability to work closely with other disciplines,
• Keeping up to date with current technology trends.
