Job summary

11 bit studios seeks a seasoned Lead Designer to steer gameplay pillars and mentor a design team in a hybrid Warsaw office. You will shape core design directions, collaborate with domain leads on practical solutions, and work with cross-functional teams on foundational systems.

Strong combat design background and proven leadership are essential. The role requires 8+ years in game design, fluency in English and Polish at B2 or higher, and the ability to document requirements and manage

Qualifications

• Experience as Lead Designer or Design Director is required.
• 8+ years of game design experience (gameplay and/or systems).
• Experience with combat design.
• Experience and very good skills in managing a design team.
• Ability to work in hybrid model in our office in Warsaw.
• Experience with indie/AA, understanding limitations, capabilities and advantages.
• Knowledge of Polish and English at B2 level or above.
• Ability to write good project documentation.
• Ability to define technical requirements.
• Ability to work within time and project constraints.
• Very good communication skills.
• Passion about games and active in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Directors to define gameplay pillars that realize the game vision.
• Collaborate with domain Leads to develop concrete solutions for development challenges.
• Lead a team of designers, providing mentoring and feedback.
• Collaborate with other teams to develop key foundational systems.
• Provide feedback to overall gameplay, combat, systems, story and level design.
