BitPeak is seeking a client-facing data professional to join the team in Warsaw, focusing on building a modern data platform for a global pharmaceutical organization. You will engage with clients to gather requirements, troubleshoot, and translate business needs into scalable data solutions using SQL, Python, and cloud technologies.
You will work in a distributed, international environment with a hybrid Warsaw/remote arrangement, contributing to dataOps practices and delivering high-quality data
In this role, you will work with a project team developing a modern data platform for a global pharmaceutical organization. You will work directly with the client, contributing to discussions, gathering requirements, and helping translate business needs into scalable data solutions. You will work in an international environment and focus on Big Data architecture and modern data technologies, following the principles of the DataOps Manifesto.
Warsaw Hybrid/Remote
Work directly with clients and business stakeholders in English to understand requirements, troubleshoot issues, and propose technical solution
Lead the resolution of complex data and production issues, including root cause analysis.
Handle tickets in ServiceNow and keep ticket descriptions and analysis notes complete and correct.
Monitor production processes and respond to incidents.
Take care of the deployment process: work with Git, prepare releases with cherry-pick, and follow good deployment practices.
Write and maintain SQL and Python scripts for data checks, troubleshooting, and automation.
Prepare reports and technical documentation for the client, including root cause analysis.
Advise the client on technical solutions and improvements.
Help new team members start on the project.
Coordinate the daily work of the support team, make sure the team meets the contract terms (SLA), and improve maintenance processes.
Experience in a client-facing data support, data engineering, or similar role.
Experience working directly with business clients and stakeholders.
Experience working in multi-vendor environments and coordinating with different teams and suppliers.
Strong ownership and proactive approach able to challenge decisions, suggest improvements, and take initiative rather than simply follow instructions.
Very good English (C1), particularly in written and client-facing communication.
Very good knowledge of SQL.
Good knowledge of Python.
Practical experience with AWS, for example S3, Glue, Lambda, IAM and CloudWatch.
Working knowledge of Databricks,
Good knowledge of Git, including cherry-pick and deployment good practices.
Working knowledge of Power BI and DAX, enough to analyze a report issue.
Experience with a ticket system, preferably ServiceNow.
Databricks or AWS certification, as well as knowledge of other cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP, would be an advantage.
Experience in maintenance projects with an SLA, including exposure to ETL processes (Glue, ADF, dbt) or PySpark, would be a plus.
