Job summary

BitPeak in Warsaw is seeking a DevOps/Support specialist to join teams building a modern data platform in a cloud environment. You will work in an international setting focusing on cloud-based Big Data architecture and DataOps principles, contributing to monitoring, automation, and incident response.

Key tasks include SQL-driven data validation, scripting in Python/PowerShell, and collaboration with cross-functional teams using Git and Jira.

Qualifications

• Very good knowledge of SQL.
• Ability to operate and manage relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Azure SQL Database) and data warehouses (e.g., AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse Analytics).
• Good knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell).
• Ability to use tools: Git, Jira, ServiceNow.
• An analytical approach to tasks.
• Practical experience in infrastructure monitoring.
• Very good command of English, with a particular emphasis on written communication.
• Ability to communicate and cooperate in team environment.

Responsibilities

• Analysis and resolution of problems reported by users.
• Ongoing maintenance tasks - responding to monitoring requests, generating reports, checking data quality levels, solving ongoing data processing problems, responding to incidents.
• Ongoing monitoring of production processes and automation of tasks related to monitoring the environment.
• Development and maintenance of scripts and queries (SQL, Python, PowerShell) to support data validation, troubleshooting, and process automation across databases and data warehouses.
• Collaboration with development and infrastructure teams using Git and Jira to track fixes, document changes, and support the resolution of issues that require cross-team input.
• Preparation of clear technical documentation and incident reports in English, including root cause analysis and recommendations to prevent recurrence of similar issues.

Job description

The person in this role will work with project teams developing a modern data platform in a cloud environment. They will work in an international environment, with the focus on the architecture of cloud-based Big Data solutions and the latest technologies in that area, as well as promote the principals of the DataOps manifesto.
