Job summary

Roche is seeking a Lead Data Solutions Architect to shape a data-driven future. Hybrid role requiring in-office presence two days per week, embedded in the Diagnostics division to build a decentralized data ecosystem and trusted data products.

You will lead cross-functional teams, drive scalable data architectures, and ensure regulatory compliance (GxP, GDPR) while mentoring engineers and delivering end-to-end data pipelines using modern tools.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing Data Mesh architectures.
• Hands-on data modeling using Data Vault 2.0 and dimensional modeling.
• Strong focus on data quality and observability across pipelines.
• Ability to engage stakeholders with data-driven guidance.
• Proven technical leadership in data engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect and drive Data Mesh architectural design and data products end-to-end.
• Lead data product governance with access control, classification, and auditability.
• Collaborate with data domain leads and product owners to translate requirements.
• Direct and mentor a delivery team of external data engineers.
• Optimize data pipelines and enterprise data modeling strategies.
• Oversee end-to-end data workflows using Python, dbt, GitLab CI/CD, Talend and APIs.
