Job summary

ALTEN Polska in Kraków is seeking a proactive Cybersecurity Hunter to respond to alerts, detect threats, and coordinate with the Incident Management and Response Team. You will help eradicate incidents, perform root-cause analyses, and contribute to lessons learned and process improvements.

The role requires deep knowledge of security frameworks, strong analytical skills, and leadership to mentor colleagues while continuously improving detections and playbooks.

• Technical experience in analyzing threat data and identifying attacker tactics.

Responsibilities

• Responding to alerts to detect harmful behaviors and incidents and coordinate with the Cybersecurity Incident Management and Response Team.
• Supporting cybersecurity incidents through eradication and Post Incident Review with root cause analysis.
• Identifying, developing and implementing new detections (Use cases) and mitigations (Playbooks).
• Reviewing and approving new Use Cases and Playbooks.
• Continuously reviewing the effectiveness of analysis playbooks, processes, and tooling.
• Applying structured analytical methodologies to maximize threat intelligence growth and service efficacy.
• Supporting triage of potentially malicious events to determine severity.
• Provide expert-level advice and technical leadership to the team.
• Train, develop, mentor and inspire cybersecurity colleagues.
• Collaborate with wider Cybersecurity and IT teams to ensure capabilities remain fit for purpose.
• Identify processes that can be automated and orchestrated for efficiency.
