Job summary

Sabre in Kraków is seeking a Lead Engineer to head an OMS development team. You will act as a technical anchor, drive delivery of critical components, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to design, develop and deploy high-throughput services on Google Cloud Platform.

The role requires strong Java 17 expertise, experience with Spring Boot, containers, CI/CD, and a practical understanding of microservices and DevOps practices. Hybrid work with three office days per week is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of hands-on Java programming (including Java 17).
• Experience with open-source frameworks and server-side Java ecosystems.
• Deep understanding of Java ecosystem, monitoring, and diagnosis; Containers, Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Cloud deployments with a preference for GCP.
• Agile/Lean methodologies and leadership of a dev team.

Responsibilities

• Develop, code, test and debug moderately complex software enhancements.
• Act as tech anchor/TL for one of the dev teams.
• Work with technical staff to resolve software problems.
• Lead tech discussions, propose improvements and architectural ideas.
• Design and code moderately complex applications using advanced tech.
• Build prototypes and demonstrate value to stakeholders.
• Maintain understanding of business applications.
