Job summary

Autoliv Poland is seeking a Launch Logistic Specialist to oversee end-to-end launch logistics, supplier coordination, and inventory control. You will manage SAP/MRP parameters, track KPIs, and collaborate with production, purchasing, and warehouse teams to ensure on-time launches.

The role requires a Master’s degree and at least 1 year in automotive logistics, with strong analytical and communication skills. Polish and English proficiency preferred; SAP experience is essential.

Daily Operational Activities

• Review supplier deliveries and material shortages.

• Update SAP/MRP parameters and monitor launch KPIs.

• Coordinate packaging readiness and customer requirements.

• Attend launch/project meetings with cross-functional teams.

• Manage logistics risks, escalations, and shipment planning.

• Track logistics costs and support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Manage inventory levels and monitor obsolescence risks.

• Manage customer logistics requirements, delivery schedules, and customer portals.

• Coordinate pre-series shipments and launch deliveries.

• Coordinate logistics activities related to new product introductions and project launches.

• Work with cross-functional teams to support project milestones and launch readiness.
  

Inventory & System Control

• Review stock levels vs. targets (safety stock, min/max)

• Validate and update planning parameters in SAP

• Resolve discrepancies between system and physical stock
  

Shortage Management

• Review shortage reports and supplier confirmations.

• Track critical parts and launch-related materials.

• Escalate high-risk shortages to suppliers and management.

• Coordinate recovery plans with production, purchasing, and warehouse teams.

• Monitor premium freight requirements and seek preventive actions.

• Communicate delivery risks and mitigation plans to customers and project teams
  

Reporting & Communication

• Prepare daily and weekly logistics status reports.

• Lead or participate in launch, shortage, and customer review meetings.

• Present supply chain risks and recovery plans.

• Report packaging readiness and implementation status.

• Communicate supplier performance issues and escalation outcomes.

• Provide management updates on launch KPIs, costs, and critical logistics concerns
  

Continuous Improvement Activities

• Analyze root causes of shortages or excess stock

• Propose improvements to planning parameters and processes

• Support supply chain optimization initiatives

Functional Competencies:

• Ability to effectively execute and control MRP processes in SAP, analyze planning outputs and ensure accurate material supply planning;

• Competence in maintaining and optimizing key planning parameters (lead times, safety stock, MOQ) and ensuring high master data accuracy to support reliable system-driven planning

• Strong analytical skills using SAP data and Excel to identify risks, perform root cause analysis, and support fact-based, operational decision-making

• Ability to control inventory levels in SAP, balancing material availability with cost efficiency, and minimizing excess, obsolete stock, and shortages

• Ability to prepare accurate, timely, and structured reports based on SAP data (e.g., shortages, inventory status, supplier performance), ensuring full visibility of risks and supporting decision-making at operational and management levels.

Previous Experience

• Experience in material planning, logistics, or supply chain operations

• Practical experience working with SAP

• Experience in managing material flow and ensuring components availability for production

• Exposure to supplier coordination and delivery schedule management

• Experience working in a dynamic, high-pressure production environment with tight deadlines and demand variability

• Experience in inventory control and stock optimization, including balancing availability and cost
  Knowledge of standards and norms: ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, TISAX

Education

• Master’s degree

• English (Ability to communicate effectively in English in a global environment (written and verbal) is a key requirement), German would be an advantage

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Automotive
