Job summary

Paragon Medical, a business of AMETEK, is seeking a Laser Operator to run the laser and associated computer systems within a production environment. The role emphasizes following work instructions, verifying product identity, and inspecting parts against blueprints.

You will document results, prepare products for transfer to the next work cell, and may assist in training others as you gain competency. A high school diploma and basic computer skills are required; blueprint and vision system

Summary Of Position

Responsible for the operation of the laser and computer.

Essential Functions

• Obtain and apply information from Work Instruction File/Travelers.
• Verify work order information.
• Verify product identity.
• Visually inspect product for cosmetic defects.
• Read and understand blueprints.
• Verify lot codes to customer specifications.
• Laser and inspect product to blueprint specifications.
• Understand and follow policy and procedures.
• Document and record all work done in work cell. Follow Process Information Sheets.
• Utilize and complete documents.
• Prepare product for transfer to next work cell.
• Label and identify product in/out of work cell.
• May operate vision system for laser scale verification.
• Perform and document Operator Preventive Maintenance operations, as needed.

Occasional Duties

• May set up laser and computer as necessary.
• Assist in other areas of production, as needed.
• Once employee demonstrates competency in position, may be required to train others in similar roles.

Experience / Education

• High School Graduate, or equivalent. Computer experience preferred.

Skills

• Ability to read blueprints and familiarization with schedules.
