Job summary

Medartis is seeking a skilled Machinist to set up and operate CNC lathes and mills, interpreting blueprints and executing routed orders. You will perform operator-level programming edits, maintain accurate measurements, and uphold safety and quality standards in a fast-growing, international environment.

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic reading, writing, and some advanced arithmetic skills required.
• Experience using lathe, milling machine, drill press, and cut off saw preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics supplied by customer.
• Ability to read measurements using calipers and other measurement tools.
• Manual dexterity for operating machinery and computers.
• Standing and bending for prolonged periods.
• Occasionally lift/move up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment as able.

• Communicate with operators from other shifts.
• Maintain and secure work tools.
• Clean and maintain work area.
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees.
• Maintain stock of tools and tooling.

The Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating a machine to make parts for customers per supplied blueprints and CNC programs.

Your Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating CNC equipment such as lathes and mills.
• May be asked to complete minor writing or editing of CNC programs.
• Manufacture of parts for routed orders.
• Record measurements per customer and company requirements.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility CNC equipment.
