Job summary

UL Solutions in Warsaw is seeking a Laboratory Calibration Technician to oversee calibration, maintenance, and verification of laboratory equipment. You will ensure accurate test results and compliance with standards, while supporting operations and customer interactions.

The role requires 2+ years in a technical or lab setting, basic electrical knowledge, and strong communication in English. Automation and batteries knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of working experience in a technical or laboratory environment.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.
  • Technical High School (preferably Electrical field).
  • Good level of spoken and written English.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documentation.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to interact with customers.
  • Desire to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to incorporate automation into day-to-day testing.
  • Overall knowledge about batteries is an additional benefit.

We are looking for a Laboratory Calibration Technician to oversee the calibration, maintenance, and verification of laboratory equipment. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate test results, supporting laboratory operations, and maintaining compliance with internal and external standards.

  • Calibrates and maintains laboratory instrumentation and apparatus.

  • Determines accuracy of instruments and the measurement uncertainty for equipment and for equipment calibration.

  • As necessary, adapts procedures, processes, tools, equipment and techniques to meet more complex requirements.

  • Develops internal procedures for laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance.

  • Manages the scheduling of the calibrations and maintenance and updates applicable systems based on company procedures.

  • Issues calibration certificates based on internal procedures.

  • Defines the engineering units, ranges, and/or acceptance criteria of instruments to be externally calibrated based on manufacturers equipment specifications, standard requirements and/or accreditations.

  • Assures the calibration quality of test results and verifies competencies of employees using the various instruments and apparatus.

  • Sets up equipment for tests.

  • Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.

  • Technical High School (preferably Electrical field).

Total Rewards: We understand that rewards are an important consideration as you plan the next step in your career. The annual salary range for this position in Poland is 79,120 - 108,790 PLN, and is based on multiple factors, including job‑related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and other factors. This position is eligible for an annual bonus with a target payout of 5% of base salary.
