Job summary

UL Solutions is seeking an IT Project Manager to lead the delivery and ongoing development of a global customer-facing digital platform for Retail & Consumer Products. The role offers a hybrid work model (3 days in the office, 2 from home) and is based in Warsaw, Poland or Barcelona, Spain.

You will manage cross-geographical IT programs, ensure on-time, on-budget delivery, and collaborate with senior leadership to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of project management leading large, complex IT programs.
  • Experience with global, cross-geographical coordination.
  • PMP/Agile certifications preferred but not required; ITIL foundations may help.

Job Description

UL Solutions is seeking an I T Project Manager to lead the delivery and ongoing development of a global customer-facing digital platform for our Retail & Consumer Products business. The role follows a hybrid working model (3 days in the office, 2 from home) and is based in Warsaw, Poland or Barcelona, Spain.

Responsibilities
  • Be involve in developing, modifying, and executing Software/Technology/IT Programs that have global company-wide reach
  • Be responsible for delivering all projects within budget and schedule while meeting the strategic and business requirements
  • Track key project milestones and recommending adjustments to leadership, managers and/or Project Managers
  • Understand Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), with basic technical understanding on Software Development
  • Plan the overall program, monitor the progress and follow the internal Software/Technology/IT Project Lifecycle process and gate reviews for requirements, development, Testing, and QA reviews before going live with solutions
  • Provide overall leadership and support to one or more project teams
  • Act as front-line contact on program related activities, issues, and risks
  • Manage risks and issues and take corrective measurements
  • Regularly interact with senior management and leadership on Software/Technology/IT Programs with significant scope and budget
  • Interface with C-Suite Executives and Business Unit Leaders, Finance and develops ROI, IRR and other financial measures, and with Purchasing, develop purchase orders, and manage suppliers and vendor relationships.
  • Define the program governance (controls). Coordinate the projects and their interdependencies.
  • Manage and utilize resources across projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors' degree required; Advanced degree preferred.
  • Examples include MBA, MA in Project.
  • Management, or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience; over ten years of project management experience running large-scale, distributed/complex projects with multiple parallel threads of work.
  • Experience developing, evaluating and submitting business cases for major capital investments.
  • Experience with cross geographical project coordination and management.
  • Experience with developing RFI/RFP and scoring mechanisms would be preferred.
  • Experience in Organizational Change Management PMP and/or Agile certifications preferred but not required with related hands-on delivery experience; ITIL Foundations preferred but not required.

  • Must have demonstrated leadership ability, technical and business acumen, and industry knowledge.
  • Ability to innovate under new and/or changing conditions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels, with Executive Level reporting and escalation experience.
  • Proven ability to build and lead integrated teams from various internal and external organizations across multiple sites.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and financial skills. Communication across programs, projects and areas (business functions and IT functions).
  • Background in the development of strategic and tactical planning of technology and people resources necessary for successful completion of several large-scale projects.
  • Ability to achieve broadly communicated objectives with a minimal amount of supervision.
  • Ability to promote innovative ideas and accept the risks that are required to lead change.
  • Ability to make decisions independently and to assume higher-level leadership responsibilities in critical situations.
What We Offer

Total Rewards: We understand that compensation is an important consideration as you plan your next career move. The salary range for this position in Poland is PLN 140,000 to 170,000, and is determined based on multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, and qualifications. While this represents the typical range for the role, we may offer a higher salary for candidates with exceptional experience or expertise. We encourage you to discuss your expectations further with the recruiter and learn more. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus with a target payout of 10% of base salary. You’ll also benefit from annual paid leave, access to ULS University to support continuous learning and career growth, two volunteering days per year for community engagement, and flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance.
