Job summary

UL Solutions in Warsaw is seeking a Laboratory Calibration Technician to oversee calibration, maintenance, and verification of laboratory equipment. You will ensure accurate test results and compliance with standards, while supporting operations and customer interactions.

The role requires 2+ years in a technical or lab setting, basic electrical knowledge, and strong communication in English. Automation and batteries knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of working experience in a technical or laboratory environment.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.
• Technical High School (preferably Electrical field).
• Good level of spoken and written English.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documentation.
• Effective communication skills and ability to interact with customers.
• Desire to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to incorporate automation into day-to-day testing.
• Overall knowledge about batteries is an additional benefit.

Responsibilities

• Calibrates and maintains laboratory instrumentation and apparatus.
• Determines accuracy of instruments and measurement uncertainty.
• Adapts procedures to meet complex requirements.
• Develops internal procedures for calibration and maintenance.
• Manages scheduling of calibrations and updates systems.
• Issues calibration certificates according to procedures.
• Defines engineering units, ranges, and acceptance criteria for external calibration.
• Assures calibration quality of test results and verifies competencies.
• Sets up equipment for tests.
• Integrates continuous improvement concepts into all aspects of the job.
