Job summary

UST in Kraków is seeking a 3rd Line Support Engineer to maintain business-critical financial data platforms and ensure data integrity. The role centers on advanced incident resolution, change delivery, and ongoing system stability.

You will work closely with development, QA, infrastructure and business teams, handling complex incidents, performing root-cause analyses, and delivering permanent fixes. Out-of-hours support may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting financial services applications or financial data systems.
• Advanced Excel with Pivot Tables, formulas, data analysis, macros.
• Strong VBA development for automation.
• Advanced SQL Server skills: complex queries, stored procedures, functions, performance tuning.
• Experience with large and complex datasets.
• .NET application support and troubleshooting experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Act as the escalation point for complex application, database, and data-related issues.
• Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
• Deliver approved application and database changes following release processes.
• Support deployments, production releases, and configuration updates.
• Maintain and validate business-critical financial data, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Perform data analysis, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.
• Develop automation tools and process improvements to increase operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with development, QA, infrastructure, and business stakeholders.
• Provide out-of-hours support when required.
