Job summary

State Street Corporation is seeking a KYC Lead Specialist to support its AML/KYC program across onboarding, periodic reviews and event-driven assessments. You will gather data, verify identities, and perform CIP, CDD and EDD while ensuring compliance with policy standards and regulatory expectations.

You will build KYC profiles, screen entities against sanctions, source documentation, and maintain accurate records in the tracking tools.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of AML/KYC regulations and processes.
• Experience with KYC for various entity types is a plus.
• Ability to analyze ownership structures for risk assessment.
• Familiarity with screening tools and external data sources.
• Strong communication and organizational skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform Know Your Customer due diligence (KYC) prior to account openings and on-going.
• Create KYC profiles in the system of record.
• Complete CIP/CDD/EDD forms as required.
• Screen client names against sanctions lists.
• Source documentation from regulatory websites, banks, LexisNexis and World-Check.
• Coordinate with Front Office to obtain missing CDD documents.
• Validate CDD information provided by customers.
• Conduct AML risk assessments using compliance tools.
• Meet KRI/KPI targets for KYC reviews and escalate when needed.
• Maintain accurate task tracking in designated tools.
• Assist with regulatory examinations or testing.
• Raise AML concerns promptly and escalate issues.
• Notify local management of operational issues.
• Attend AML training and contribute to team knowledge.
• Support ad hoc and strategic AML projects.
• Perform EDD on high-risk customers and monitoring.
• Mentor teammates on KYC practices.
• Lead discussions with stakeholders on deliverables.
