Job summary

AFRY is seeking a civil/design engineer to join a growing team supporting wastewater treatment plant projects in Switzerland and Central Europe. You will work on tanks, basins, pumping stations, and service buildings using reinforced concrete and BIM methodologies.

The role involves sizing data from process engineers, coordinating with mechanical, electrical, and HVAC disciplines, and ensuring compliance with Swiss SIA, German HOAI, and Euro codes. Hybrid work arrangements in Poland are offered.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in structural design for civil projects, especially wastewater facilities.
• Solid knowledge of BIM methodology and collaboration platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design civil works structures for wastewater treatment facilities (tanks, basins, pumping stations).
• Perform basic sizing from process engineers and integrate equipment data.
• Follow Swiss SIA and German HOAI standards through design stages; participate in reviews.
• Create BIM models and coordinate with BIM modelers.
• Attend internal/external meetings and report progress to the Project Manager.
