Job summary

AFRY is seeking a Junior Structural Designer for industrial infrastructure with projects in Switzerland. The role supports the design of wastewater treatment facilities, collaborating with process engineers and BIM teams across Poland and Switzerland.

You will work in a multidisciplinary, international environment, participating in various design stages and meetings, with hybrid work options in Poland.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of structural engineering experience
• Willingness to work in multidisciplinary teams and learn related fields
• Good English skills at B2–C1 level
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Solid BIM knowledge and collaboration tools
• Experience with structural software: SOFiSTiK, TEKLA/ALLPLAN

Responsibilities

• Design civil structures for wastewater treatment facilities
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, electrical and HVAC teams
• Gather information from equipment vendors and ensure design meets Swiss/European standards
• Work with BIM modelers to produce BIM-enabled designs
• Attend internal and external meetings and report to Project Manager
