Job description

Join our Team

At Ericsson you’ll be empowered to learn, lead, and perform at your best while shaping the next generation of connectivity.

We welcome you as your full, authentic self and celebrate the skills, creativity and perspectives you bring to the team.

We’re looking for experienced, curious telecom engineers to join our Radio Baseband Software team. You’ll work on system-level design and performance of NR and 6G products focusing on the physical layer, AAS/M-MIMO and radio resource management. This is a chance to influence real products, validate algorithms in realistic simulations, and help evolve wireless systems worldwide.

Your system specifications, architecture descriptions, and design artifacts will soon be consumed directly by AI agents that support software development. These agents will use your system-level definitions to generate, validate, and optimize code, making your work the foundation of automated, AI‑assisted development flows. Clear, consistent, and unambiguous requirements — backed by strong systems thinking — are essential, since your documentation must be machine‑interpretable and convey product behavior, constraints, and intent. As a System Engineer, you play a key role in ensuring correctness, scalability, and long‑term maintainability of AI‑enabled products.

What you’ll do
  • Define and maintain system‑level architecture, requirements, and interfaces.
  • Produce high‑quality, precise, and well‑structured technical documentation.
  • Systemize Ericsson 5G and 6G product features within the physical layer, AAS/M‑MIMO and RRM domains.
  • Specify features, test cases, algorithms, use cases, parameter settings and backward‑compatibility considerations.
  • Develop and run software simulations to evaluate 5G and 6G features and algorithm performance.
  • Analyze interactions with legacy functionality and propose design improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive continuous improvement and deliver high‑quality system solutions.
What you’ll bring
  • 5+ years’ experience in communications theory and digital signal processing.
  • Strong knowledge of NR system design, especially Physical Layer, RRM and AAS/M‑MIMO.
  • Solid understanding of L1 channel processing (DL/UL algorithms).
  • Experience developing software for physical‑layer and radio network simulations (modeling and analysis).
  • Proficiency in one or more of Java, MATLAB, C/C++ and Python.
  • Familiarity with 3GPP NR specifications and NR software design principles.
  • MSc or PhD from a technical university.
What do we offer
  • Annual bonus depending on the achievement of the company's goals and results.
  • Possibility to take advantage of the reduction of tax‑deductible costs for creative work.
  • Financial awards and distinctions.
  • Private medical care for employee and their family (Medicover).
  • Life insurance.
  • Mental Help Line.
  • Cafeteria system Pluxee platform: co‑financing MultiSport or OK System card, lunch cards, and others.
  • Sports and integration activities (e.g. Football, Joga, raising team, climbing club).
  • Company support (loans and grants).
  • Possibility to participate in 2G / 4G / 5G… 6G technology projects.
  • Opportunity to participate in technical and interpersonal training conducted by international trainers.
  • Access to recognized learning platforms (Pluralsight, Skillsoft, Coursera).
  • Opportunity to work in an international environment, also outside Poland.

This is a hybrid position; we require office attendance 3 times per week.
