Ericsson Kraków is seeking a software engineer to join a product development team working on telecom software. You will support investigation of issues, contribute to root-cause analysis, and implement small software improvements within a hybrid work model in Kraków.

The role emphasizes learning, collaboration across technical domains, and applying AI-assisted tools to aid troubleshooting and testing, with opportunities to work on cutting-edge 5G/6G technology projects.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in C++17 or newer, with basic to good understanding of modern C++ practices.
• Experience using Linux environments for development and testing.
• Familiarity with Git workflows and code review tools (Gerrit).

About this opportunity

Join a product development team working on complex telecom software, where you will help improve product quality, reliability and system behavior. Our Product Enigneering Unit CCI (RAN Compute & Cloud Infrastructure) is one of the main R&D units within Ericsson’s Radio Access Network domain. The unit is accountable for Ericsson products, including Baseband, Street Macro and Site solutions, both for SW and HW, over the full lifecycle. CCI is a competence center for common design functions (e.g. digital ASIC and FPGA, PCB layout, power, mechanics, thermal, interconnect, synchronization, security) and tools. At R&D Center Poland we develop SW system and design solutions for baseband, interconnect, security and site products. We address telecommunication business needs from around the globe by delivering innovative software (e.g. 5G/6G functionalities) meeting the highest telco quality.

In this role, you will support the investigation and resolution of technical issues identified during internal testing and in customer environments, while gradually building understanding of product architecture, system behavior and software development practices.
