Job summary

Fortum is seeking a Junior RTR Accountant to join our development‑oriented team in Poland. You will contribute to month‑end close, post journals, and support SAP implementations, working with cross‑functional finance teams across the organization.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant RTR/GL experience.
• Working knowledge of SAP and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

• Excellent English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close processes under supervision.
• Post manual journals and record accounting entries per Fortum procedures.
• Participate in SAP implementation projects and process migrations.

• Maintain up-to-date desktop procedures for changes and compliance.

Job description

As an Junior RTR Accountant you have possibility to broaden your professional competencies in the forward looking energy company. You will be working in a development oriented unit with quality mindset and international contacts. You will have a chance to take part in development initiatives, including process improvements and implementing best practices. About the role

• Participation in SAP implementation projects, process migration, testing across business functions
• Effectively support month end close processes under supervision of senior colleagues and team leader
• Posting manual journals
• Record and review accounting entries according to Fortum requirements and procedures accurately and within deadlines
• Complete year-end closing processes and reports
• Support more experienced team members with all processes in scope
• Liaise with multiple internal finance teams and clients
• Ensure completeness and accuracy and timeliness process delivery
• Maintain desktop procedures up-to-date to ensure compliance with process changes, current legislation and company policy
• Participate actively in any meetings, trainings and projects initiatives
• Develop your professional skills and knowledge towards becoming a champion/expert in particular areas
• Build trust and understanding through communication, inclusion, and transparency within RTR team and with other internal stakeholders

About you

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree - preferably in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in RTR/GL
• Knowledge of SAP would be an asset
• Ability to gain high volume of knowledge
