Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH is seeking a Junior Intercompany Accounting Specialist for a 12-month fixed-term contract in Wroclaw. You will support intercompany processes, help optimize workflows, and contribute to developing innovative procedures within the new GBS Centre.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, solid understanding of intercompany principles, strong organizational skills, teamwork, MS Office proficiency, SAP knowledge a plus, and good English.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Execute, maintain, and ensure compliance with Intercompany standards and procedures as part of the GBS portfolio.
• Provide end-to-end solutions and excellence in daily operations for assigned Intercompany streams.
• Ensure timely and accurate execution of daily Intercompany tasks per BI rules.
• Administer processes per guidelines, internal control standards, and policies.
• Liaise with auditors to prepare and complete audit requirements on Intercompany topics.
• Prepare and regularly update process documentation.
• Define process rules, monitor standards, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Partner with local OPUs and other GBS streams to resolve issues and achieve high-quality results.

Junior Intercompany Accounting Specialist (fixed-term contract for 12 months)

The Position

Looking for a role where you will not only provide support in the areas of intercompany accounting processes but also take part in process optimization and development of further innovative processes within the new GBS Centre? Help us build Intercompany Accounting department responsible for ensuring compliance and delivering Service Level Agreements including execution of core financial processes such as invoice posting, payment proposal, secondary business invoicing, closing activities and reconciliation for the assigned GBS countries.

This position is offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of 12 months.

Tasks & responsibilities

As an Intercompany Accounting Junior Specialist, you will be responsible for:

• Executing, maintaining, and ensuring compliance with Intercompany-related standards, processes, and procedures as part of the GBS service portfolio, while coordinating Intercompany-related topics with the Global Process Owner, local teams, and other GBS Centers.
• Ensuring excellence in daily operations for assigned Intercompany service streams by providing end-to-end solutions.
• Ensuring the timely and accurate execution of daily Intercompany tasks in compliance with BI rules.
• Administering processes in accordance with published guidelines, standard work instructions, internal control standards, and local Finance and/or corporate policies.
• Liaising with auditors to prepare and complete audit requirements related to Intercompany topics.
• Preparing and regularly updating process documentation.
• Defining process rules, monitoring Intercompany standards, and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
• Partnering with local OPUs and other GBS streams to resolve issues and achieve high-quality results.
