Job summary

Cognizant Kraków is seeking a Junior GIS Data Configuration Specialist to execute data processing workflows for partner-provided content, ensuring real-time information like road closures is ingested, processed, and displayed online.

You will translate incoming data structures (JSON/XML), collaborate with data providers to troubleshoot issues, and apply foundational GIS knowledge to verify spatial features and data accuracy.

Qualifications

• Proficient in English at B2 level.
• Foundational GIS data and map-based workflows knowledge.
• Familiar with JSON and XML structures.

Responsibilities

• Configure new requests to translate third-party data into the platform's internal format for visualization.
• Analyze the structure of incoming data (JSON/XML) to derive actionable insights.
• Collaborate with partners to troubleshoot, test, and fix data issues.
• Apply GIS knowledge to identify and verify correct spatial features on the map.
• Query data using SQL for analysis and validation.
• Investigate and troubleshoot configuration errors.
• Execute standard data analysis and processing workflows.
• Maintain attention to detail in all tasks.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Identify and raise systemic problems with tools or processes.
