Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) in Kraków is seeking a Junior Fund Accountant to support accounting for commingled investment portfolios. You will work with our fund accounting technology to execute net asset value tasks, including transactions, capital stock, expenses, and cash, ensuring timely and accurate daily Deliverables.

The role requires a Finance/Accounting background, English proficiency, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to communicate professionally.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Finance and Accounting or equivalent work experience
• Fluency in English (C1)
• Demonstrated Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to communicate professionally through effective verbal and written skills

Responsibilities

• Processing transactions, verifying information and escalating issues
• Maintaining daily outputs to department standards for quality and timeliness
• Ensuring deadlines and requirements are met
• Managing daily production reporting
• Following up on open inquiries
• Collaborating with other BBH departments to resolve issues
• Contributing to Management Reporting (e.g., Clarity, PVCs, cash breaks)
• Understanding how functions impact the firm at a high level
• Gaining efficiencies to improve productivity and handle multiple tasks or projects

Join us as a Junior Fund Accountant! Junior Fund Accountant is responsible for specialized accounting support of commingled investment portfolios within the business line. Leveraging our fund accounting technology, Fund Accountants will complete one or more key aspects of net asset value execution including: transactions, capital stock, expenses, corporate actions, cash, and special handling, as well as break identification and resolution. Fund Accountants ensure daily accounting deliverables are timely and accurate.

Responsibilities

• Processing transactions, verifying information, escalating problem items
• Ensuring daily output maintains department/team standards for quality and timeliness
• Ensuring deadlines and/or requirements are being met
• Managing daily production reporting
• Following up on open inquiries
• Interacting with other BBH departments on resolution of issues
• Contributing to Management Reporting (ie: Clarity, PVC's, past dues, cash breaks, R and A analysis)
• Understanding of the big picture of how specific function impacts the firm
• Gaining efficiencies to improve productivity
• Managing multiple tasks and/or projects efficiently despite resource and time constraints

• BA/BS degree (Finance and Accounting) or equivalent work experience (as Accountant) is a must
• Fluency in English (C1)
• Demonstrated Microsoft Office skills
