Job summary

Olympus Corporation is seeking a field service engineer to service diagnostic, endoscopic, and surgical devices. You will install, test, and maintain equipment in healthcare facilities, and train users on safe operation.

The role involves travel within the region, coordinating with service administration and sales teams. A technical degree and English proficiency are required, with a focus on learning and customer-centered service.

Qualifications

• Experience in servicing medical devices is preferred but not mandatory.
• Basic knowledge of network technologies is welcome.
• Valid Category B driving license is required.
• Willingness to travel frequently for business purposes.
• Intermediate level of technical English.
• Higher education in a technical field (Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics) is preferred.
• Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills.

• Service and maintenance of diagnostic, endoscopy, and surgical devices in hospitals and clinics.
• Installation, preventive maintenance, inspections, and functional testing of endoscopic and surgical devices.
• Deliver customer training on safe and effective use of medical equipment.
• Maintain service records, prepare repair reports and technical documentation per standards.
• Manage field service spare parts inventory for efficient operations.
• Provide technical support and product expertise to the sales team.
• Coordinate with service administration for planning and reporting service activities.

Job description

Your Responsibilities

• Service and maintenance of medical devices used in diagnostics, endoscopy, and laparoscopic surgery in public and private healthcare facilities, including repair of automated washer-disinfectors and related equipment
• Installation, preventive maintenance, technical inspections, and functional testing of endoscopic and surgical devices and instruments
• Delivery of customer training on the safe and effective use of medical equipment.
• Maintenance of service records, preparation of repair reports, and completion of technical documentation in compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
• Management of the field service spare parts inventory to ensure efficient service operations
• Close collaboration with the sales team by providing technical support, product expertise, and customer advice
• Coordination with service administration regarding the planning, scheduling, and reporting of service activities

Your qualification

• Experience in service (experience in servicing medical devices will be an advantage)
• Basic knowledge of network technologies (m.in. types of devices, types of cabling, network topologies, protocols) will be welcome
• Valid Category B driving license
• Willingness and availability to travel frequently for business purposes
• Intermediate level of technical English
• Higher education in a technical field, preferably Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related discipline
• Strong willingness to learn and continuously develop technical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, remain customer-focused, and effectively address customer needs
• Ability to work independently, with strong attention to detail and effective planning and organizational skills
• Area of operation: Warmińsko-Mazurskie, part of Mazowieckie and Podlaskie – preferred place of residence: Olsztyn or up to 50 km distance from Olsztyn
